  •  Elias Cepeda Brazilian - Jiu Jitsu Head Coach:  Elias began his training in 1999 and his grappling and MMA competition experience since that time has taught him that it is the basics, executed well, that work and allow us to survive in tough spots. Elias served as an assistant coach at TDC MMA, helping teammates win local grappling and MMA championships for four years before co-founding Foundation in 2017.
  • Elias holds a brown belt Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu rank from Ramiro Mota, and also studies with Foundation coaches Manny Nodarse and Ramy Daoud. Elias is a two-time United Fight League MMA winner (both wins by TKO/KO), a Wanderlust Grappling 2 winner and a Fight to Win Pro 33 winner, as well as an Advanced No-Gi Division tournament silver medalist at both Grappling Industries and Newbreed Ultimate Challenge.
  • Elias’ Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and MMA coaching involves in-depth study of effective principles, techniques, and sequences. Elias emphasizes conditioning, positional awareness, and the connection of different styles into an integrated approach to self-defense and competitive fighting."
  •  Jonathan Rodriguez- Youth Athletic Performance Coach: Jonathan has his Master’s degree in Athletic Training from Ohio University, where he was heavily involved in evidence-based research in Sports Medicine, orthopedic assessment of the body, therapeutic exercise application, and strength and conditioning. Jonathan's recent experience ranges back to when he worked with Ohio Valley University’s Women’s volleyball and Men’s basketball team as their strength and conditioning coach. He has also coached and continues to coach various youth athletic development classes, adult fitness classes, and HS/College aged athletes. Jonathan has certifications in FMS 2 (Functional Movement Systems), ASTYM (Augmented Soft Tissue Mobilization), and as a Weight Management Assessor. He also works for TCBoost, a Sports Performance Company in Northbrook, where he specializes in athletic development for speed, agility, and fundamental weight lifting. Jonathan is currently a strength and conditioning coach for Glenbrook South Football and also writes strength and conditioning programing for the soccer, basketball, lacrosse and track teams.

Jonathan Udesky created the 
Short Sports Program in 2000 at Lakeshore Athletic Club. 
The core focus of the program is to help introduce basic team sport concepts to 3-5 yr olds. Increasing their ability to follow instruction, work in groups, and of course have lots of fun along the way. 
Each week is focused on a specific sport allowing the child to be exposed to a variety of different concepts helping them develop overall athleticism (running, kicking, swinging, throwing, shooting, catching). 
Jonathan has a true calling and proven history in being able to communicate with preschoolers, allowing for the kids to have a great overall experience 
I started playing soccer at the age of 9. I never realized how I would develop such a love for the game, as well as a love for becoming a soccer coach to kids. For the past 4 years I have been coaching kids ranging from as young as 18 months all the way to 12 years of age. It's such a great and rewarding feeling to see the kids, learn, develop and most importantly have fun! Especially knowing that I was a part of it. Working with kids has definitely been more rewarding and inspiring than I could have ever imagined.
Coach Jacobs has more than 10 years of experience training and coaching grade school boys on the North Shore and more than 3 years of experience training and coaching girls on the North Shore and in the City. He has experience at the feeder and Small Fry level and also has an extensive background in coaching at various summer camps in Chicagoland. Most recently, Coach Jacobs was a trainer at Full Package Athletics. Coach Jacobs was born and raised in the Chicago area. He lives in the City with his wife and son and is an active volunteer in his community.
